Reservation

Reservation is spreading a sense of hatred among each other. Its compromising on quality where it the most sensitive matter. It's ruining the health system, health education & has a limiting factor in social progress as a whole. A lot of things can be said in support of reservation. Those are no longer relevant except for political reason. Medical education has a deep impact on lots of social parameters. This is an area where quality has to be maintained beyond doubt. Thats why there are numerous entrance exams to select the best of the candidates. Thesee are the hurdles to ensure that a candidate who is not competent enough should not enter into it. Now, if we look into the matter of reservation, it is making a hole in this barrier. By doing this we are actually saying that let him be a doctor because he is from xyz cast. He could not study because his fathers cast is xyz. Let our people suffer a little bit because he belongs to xyz. Just imagine two different student putting same amount of effort for an exam finds that one of them is lucky to have taken birth in a specific community. This is what divides us in the first place. One of them with half of the intelligence then the other would be a doctor whereas the other one may end up as a shopkeeper. What is the use of saying unity among diversity where u have put a systematic mechamism to discriminate on the ground of race & religeon. A section of people are allowed to climb up & another sec is pulled from behind to equalize. Equalize on what ground. Its certainly not to equalize economic disparity becoz otherwise how come a son of an IAS officer who is fairly capable of handling his family still make use of the reservation & get admitted to a medical college for merelty belonging to a so called underpriviledged community. This fellow who has gotten into UG has nothing to bother about throughout next 4 and half years becouse he has the same weapon while applying for PG also. Does not these obvious contrast putting some people in frustration? Actually those frusteted beings are the majority. There will be a section of the population who lag behind in the society in countries like us. But to chunk out them on the basis of their cast is as old fashioned as anything. Many of them are wealthy more then their general counterparts. To help one person to equalize you are depriving thousand or more who could have made huge differences by their quality service Actually those people you have labelled to lower socio-economic segment needed a good doctor; a competent one. Not one who could not prove himself in a fair game of intellect. They need the best educator also & so on. Even If this continues there will not be a time in centuries when these cast based reservation can bring everyone at par in our country. There must be some other mechanism to bring the equilibrium. But please spare this one filed that deals with real lives.
