Dr. Manvendra Garg was born and brought up in the capital of Uttrakhand now a bustling metropolis of a now-not-so-small hill town of Dehradun, in the foothills of the Himalayas. His early education was in Heritage School and later at Riverdale High School followed by his graduating with an MBBS from the famous SGRRIMS, Dehradun. He pursued his residency at the HIHT, Jolly Grant, leading to an MD in Pulmonary medicine. Thereafter he worked as a senior resident in pulmonary medicine at HIHT and as a senior resident in critical care at SGRRIMS. Also has been working as a Consultant in pulmonology at the ‘Deemag and Chest Clinic’ clinic in his native town for the last two years. He has joined as an assistant professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun. His achievements included setting up the Bronchoscopy laboratory in Uttarakhand. His clinic is equipped with Lung -function tests/spirometry, ECG, X-ray, central oxygen supply, a day indoor, an optical store, an auto-refractometer, an EEG, pathology, and a pharmacy. He is a pulmonology buff and is interested in English and Hindi literature. He is an avid reader, and gym goer and regularly writes in newspapers and blogs.
