Subject: Regarding providing information for sale and distribution of

drugs formulations containing Pregabalin-300mg, Gabapentin-

4oo, Dicyclomine, Tapentador, Zopiclone, F-rupentixor &

carisoprodol by the Manufacturers, c&FAs, wholesaler, Retailsale licencees of State of punjab.

Reference on the aforementioned subject.

It has come to the notice of the Department that the formulations of following drugs of concern are being misused for intoxication: –

The above said issues were deliberated with the Stakeholders [i.e. associations of Punjab Drugs Manufacturers, C&FAs, Wholesale & Retailsale licencees) and during meeting held on dated 11,-02-2025 under the Chairmanship of Worthy Principal Secretary Health & Family Welfare, punjab and in public

interest, it has been decided that : –

(i)

The Manufacturer shall intimate the office of concerned Drugs Control officer regarding sale of any formulation containing above mentioned

In the case of Manufacturers of the State of puniab:

drugs of concern in a single invoice for sale of 5,000 units or more than 5,000 units (i.e, Tablets / Capsules or in any other dosage formJ.

The c&FA shall intimate to the office of concerned Drugs control officer, if the purchase of any formuration containing above mentioned drugs of concern in a single invoice is 5,000 units or more

than 5,000 units [i.e, Tablets / capsules or in any other dosage form), The c&FA shall intimate to the office of concerned Drugs control officer, if the sare [in the State of punjabJ of any formulation containing above mentioned drugs of concern in a single invoice is

2,000 units or more than 2,000 units [i.e. Tablets / capsures or in any other dosage formJ.

(iii)

The wholesale chemist shall intimate to the office of concerned Drugs control officer, if the purchase of any formulation containing above mentioned drugs of concern in a single invoice is 2,000 units or more

than 2,000 units [i.e. Tablets / capsules or in any other dosage form).

The wholesale chemist shall intimate to the office of concerned Drugs

control officer, if the sale fin the state of punjabJ of any formulation

containing above mentioned drugs of concern in a single invoice is

500 units or more than 500 units (i.e. Tablets / capsules or in any other dosage form),

(iv) In the case of Retail sale chemists:

The Retail sale chemist shall intimate to the office of concerned Drugs Control officer, if the sale of any formulation containing above mentioned drugs of concern in a single invoice is 20 units or more

than 20 units (i.e, Tablets / capsules or in any other dosage form).
