New Delhi: Whooping 82 Medical colleges have been denied the permission of renewal for MBBS seats for the coming 2018-19 academic year by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. With no renewal permission, the said medical colleges will not be able to offer MBBS courses for the coming academic session.

Some medical colleges that have been denied renewal are recent setups, while there are many which have been running for years and now won’t be able to take admissions. Maximum number of renewal denial has come to the state of Uttar Pradesh with 15 medical colleges being denied approval. With this, approximately 11800 seats won’t be available for MBBS course this year

The denial comes after the MCI made recommendations to the Ministry in this regard. Following are the names of the medical colleges which have been denied renewal
