Allopathy
Most of we, doctors,
are unaware of this basic term
A system of alternative medicine, that treats symptoms with substances that produce the opposite effect.
The word “allopathic” comes from the Greek “ allos” — meaning “opposite or other” άλλα— and “pathos” — meaning “to suffer.”

Allopathy was coined by German physician Samuel Hahnemann in the 1800s to differentiate from Homeopathy which treats with drugs giving same symptoms.
