WGS is done to identify SARS-CoV-2 variants as a part of ongoing surveillance only on a sample of cases as per INSACOG guidelines and these results will be shared separately from time to time as and when updated, as these results are not expected on day to day basis.

A 70 years old female from Krishnagiri with DM/HTN admitted on 18-04-2023 at 04.17 AM in Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital, Salem with complaints of fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, abdominal pain and vomiting with RTPCR COVID Positivity on 17-04-2023. The patient died on 18-04-2023 at 05.00 AM due to COVID-19 Pneumonia and Septic shock.
