In the bustling academic and medical world of Delhi, Dr. Anil Kumari Malhotra dedicated her life to the gentle, precise science of homoeopathy. She believed deeply that true healing begins with understanding the whole person—body, mind and spirit—and that this ancient yet evolving system of medicine held profound answers for modern ailments.

She pursued her studies with quiet determination, earning her MD in Homoeopathy from the Shri Sai Nath Post Graduate Institute of Homoeopathy in 2006. In 2007 she took charge as Principal of the Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, an institution affiliated with the University of Delhi. There she combined rigorous academic leadership with clinical practice, mentoring generations of young physicians while continuing to treat patients with the careful, individualised approach that defines classical homoeopathy.

“Every patient carries a unique story,” she would tell her students. “Our task is not simply to suppress symptoms, but to listen carefully and help the vital force restore balance.”

She published research papers, organised workshops and participated actively in continuing medical education programmes, steadily elevating the standards of homoeopathic education and practice in the capital. Under her guidance the college became known for its commitment to both scholarly excellence and compassionate patient care.

In 2016 the nation recognised her contributions. The Government of India conferred upon her the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honour, for her distinguished service in the field of medicine.

Dr. Anil Kumari Malhotra’s journey remains a testament to quiet perseverance and deep conviction. In the lecture halls and clinics of Delhi she showed that traditional systems of healing, when practised with integrity and scientific discipline, continue to offer hope, relief and lasting wellness to countless lives.
