Ok some basic rules while getting PPE especially the coveralls 👇
1.Look for SITRA certification.
2. Material should be non woven polypropylene. The polypropylene itself should be at least two-ply, preferably 3 or 4 ply. The ‘Ply ‘ is a layer of either spunbound (S) or meltblown (M) polypropylene. Two ply will be SM. Three ply will be SMS. S gives strength to fabric, M giver filter ability. As the plys increase to SMS or SMMS or SMMMS, the safety increases. The fabric also should be at least 180 gsm (grams per sq m). Lots of manufacturers churning out PPE have no clue regarding the specs of the material used.
Make sure you consider and seek these specs when you procure.
Single ply S propylene won’t cut it!
